Save your money - this is a disposable phone

I bought this phone around Christmas 2006. This phone works great in my old house with thick plaster walls and definitely has better range than my Panasonic 2.4 GHz (comparing range to outside my house while doing yard work). My only complaint is that it only worked for 6 months, the base unit burned out and Target’s return policy is only 90days. I called Uniden and after being on the phone for 20min and they said a REFURBISHED replacement phone will cost me $10 and I need to provide them with the ORIGINAL store receipt (these new laser receipts don’t last more than 3-4months before they fade to blank), they said this was my only option. In short, it’s a great phone but the quality of the parts used to make it is questionable [...]

I love the fact that is comes with the base and answering machine plus to extra phones. The 2 extra phones just need to be plugged into the wall and don't need phone jacks. Thats what sold me!! They echo a bit at the beginning of a call but by the first minute it has cleared up. Its very well worth the money. It also has a lot of neat and fun features.

When i saw this online i had to get this. We have 3 floors in the house and having 3 headsets was what we were looking for. I like the feature that when you enter a number into one headset you can then enter it onto the other phones without having to go and input the number separately. I also like the intercom and the call transfer feature on it as well. We bought this when it was on sale and it was definitely worth it.

I looked around for a replacement phone and found three for the price of one. Have all the features we need. What more can you ask for?
I highly recommend this product. If they are sold out for this price($58) "GET A RAINCHECK"! You won't be sorry, I guarantee.

I have owned this phone for 2 years and have not had a single problem with the phones. I absolutely love this phone. I would buy it again in a heartbeat if necessary. I highly recommend this phone.

Great phone for house with only one phone jack!

I've had this phone for 9 months or so. I love being able to have handsets throughout the house since we only have one phone jack in our older home. I haven't had any problems with sound quality or dead air like some others have said. I love that you can pick-up one handset and page another one somewhere else- like in our unattached garage- so I don't have to go out there if I want to talk to my husband!
Only problem I've seen is that the outgoing message on the machine is kinda muffled. I can live with that though!
The handsets are small- mostly like a cell phone, so I havent noticed that being a problem. All the features are available on the handsets as well as the base. For example, you can play messages from any phone or view the caller ID...
I haven't had any major compliants and love this phone for its features and practicality!

Great Features, Not-So-Great Phone

I gave three stars because this phone system is great in regards to the three handsets and integrated answering machine, as well as other features for the price.
What I DON'T like is that I can't put it up to my ear and hold it with my shoulder - it is so small and slippery it falls out. And the sound quality is HORRIBLE. It has lost connection on several occasions, and sometimes I hear absolutely NOTHING when I am talking and am not sure if I have lost connection (there is no "feedback" of my voice like I am used to with this phone normally and with all other phones I have used). Sometimes the volume fades in and out, not sure if something is interfereing with the connection. Finally, people I am talking to tell me I sometimes sound like I am in a tunnel.
I have an older model uniden set that I LOVE and had absolutely NO issues, just got this because we needed more phones and couldn't add to the set we had (outdated). I hope this lasts at least a year or so, as I don't feel like spending more $$ on another set!!

We bought this unit to replace our clunky but functional 9-year-old Sony cordless phone and answering machine. The Uniden handsets were very small and thus didn't seem to naturally fit to our heads--the ear part always seemed to end up high on my cheek, so the person on the other end was muffled. Also, the answering machine produced garbled, muffled messages both when on the outgoing message and on incoming messages. I'll be exchanging it for something with larger handsets.

When I got this phone I loved it because of all the features. Then sometimes I couldn't hear the other person on the line because I was echoing in my ear. Then the reciever on the main base died and the person I was talking to couldn't hear me. It's only been a year and I can't replace it with the new model even though the extra handset for the new model says I can. The new model won't register no matter how many times I follow the directions. If you plan to buy this set make sure you buy extra recievers because they go bad quickly.

My parents have this set and they are awesome. They were going through a lot of cordless sets and have had this one for almost 2 years with no problems. She got me a set last year for Christmas and I love them ... especially having speaker phone right on the hand set. This year I am going to purchase a set to give as a gift -- they are great!
